Everyone interested in joining the drumline must attend pre-camp from August 20th to August 22nd. We will rotate people on different instruments and you will play an individual audition for Dr. Nicholson. In addition to setting the line, we will also learn cadences, stand music, and get started on show music for the season. Anyone who does not make the snare, tenor, or bass line will be offered a spot in the cymbal line.

We do not have a front ensemble.

We use the following instrumentation:

  • Snares (up to 9)
  • Tenors (up to 4)
  • Basses (5)
  • Cymbals

All members need to have white marching shoes, which you can order from us (shoes will cost around $35-$40). We use Vipers, but you may use your own white shoes if they are in good condition. Check with Dr. Falvey to see if they are acceptable prior to band camp. We will provide gloves for the cymbal line.

All members must pay a $25 fee at band camp that covers the under-uniform band t-shirt, baseball hat for the stands, and the end-of-season banquet.

These are the only fees for the entire season. Meals or a per diem are provided on all away trips.
