Directed by Dr. Joseph T. Falvey, the Aggie Marching Band is the largest student organization on campus. The Band performs at all home football games and has traveled to away games in Tempe, Arizona, Boulder, Colorado, and New Mexico State University as well as appeared at the Idaho Potato and Humanitarian Bowls in Boise, Idaho and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ireland. The Band serves as a centerpiece for athletic spirit as well as a showcase of the finest in music performance. The Aggie Marching Band is comprised of students from all colleges of the University, and membership is open to full-time students of all class levels from freshman to graduate.

All persons interested in joining the Aggie Marching Band must attend Fundamentals (Camp) Week. Traditionally the week before the beginning of fall semester, this pre-season training introduces the fundamentals of the Aggie Band, establishes the membership in the full-time performing “block,” and provides old and new members alike the chance to feel part of the special family that is the Aggie Marching Band. Students interested in participating in the Aggie Marching Band should contact the University Bands office before August 1 to receive information on Fundamentals Week.
